WVU Executive MBA Online Information Session, February 19, 2007, 7-8 pm

The West Virginia University College of Business and Economics, in conjunction with Extended Learning, will be hosting virtual information sessions to promote the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA).

The Executive MBA program differs from traditional part-time MBA programs. The program provides a fully integrated technology-based training in modern business practice. The Executive MBA degree allows students to maintain momentum in their career while pursuing their educational goals. Classes meet two evenings a week for five semesters, and the EMBA program is offered at nine sites across the state. All lectures are digitally captured, so students can view a missed lecture at their convenience. A total of 48 credit hours are necessary to complete the degree.

Students also have the exciting opportunity to take part in the EMBA international trip. In today's global economy traveling abroad and gaining hands-on experience in international business is necessary. In the Executive MBA program students have the opportunity to study abroad and gain a better understanding of today's global economy. Students may go to Germany or the Czech Republic during spring break one year, accompany a West Virginia business to China during the summer, or study at a consortium university in Italy for four weeks.

Elizabeth Vitullo, Associate Director of the Executive MBA program, will be on hand to answer questions from prospective students. Students will be able to learn more about the Executive MBA program and what graduates can expect upon completion of the degree program.

The virtual information session will be conducted using a Horizon Wimba Live Classroom session. Within one week of the session, login instructions will be sent to all registered participants.

Prior to the session, participants are asked to visit the Live Classroom Setup Wizard to ensure their computer will support the required software. In order to interact during this training session, the vendor recommends using a headset with built-in microphone. However, regular speakers and a standalone microphone will be sufficient. For those without microphone capabilities, an online chat feature with Live Classroom will allow participants to participate.
