Most individuals learn their lessons in the personal financial planning area through the "school of hard knocks!" Our focus in these seminars is to prevent this type of lesson for you. We are interested in preparing you to intelligently make your required planning decisions without having to suffer through the duress of bad decision-making. Our mutual goal for each of you is to make your personal financial planning a positive experience through taking these sessions.
This course is an online version of the popular seminars taught by Dr. Ade Neidermeyer, an accounting professor at the WVU College of Business and Economics. Dr. Neidermeyer has been on the faculty at WVU for thirty-three years. He has been selected by vote of the students in the College to receive the designation as Outstanding Teacher twenty-two times, and Golden Key National Honor Society selected him as Outstanding Teacher three times. Dr. Neidermeyer was the recipient of the WV Educator of the Year award by the WV Society of Certified Public Accountants. He brings concern for student learning to the forefront in the class environment. Dr. Neidermeyer's teaching areas include personal financial planning, taxation/tax research, and financial accounting reporting practices.
